El Paso Barroco (EPB) is an ensemble of musicians from El Paso, Ciudad Juárez, and around the world, dedicated to the historically informed performance of music from the 16th century through the 18th century. EPB seeks to promote, present, and preserve the rich musical heritage of music and history while fostering cultural enrichment and access through collaborations with both local and international artists. El Paso Barroco’s mission is to provide audiences with immersive experiences, introducing students, musicians, and audiences to the rich history and artistry of Baroque and beyond.

For this concert, El Paso Barroco presents a reduced ensemble consisting of a string quartet with guitar or otherwise called a guitar quintet. Join us for an intimate and exciting chamber concert featuring two guitar quintets with invited and celebrated musicians, Edgar Camargo Sandoval and Alvaro Nájera Ramos. Our program includes Luis Boccherini’s Quintet in D Major (G448) popularly known for its “fandango”, Joseph Schnabel’s guitar quintet in C major and more. We hope to see you there!
