Noche de Calaveras Procession and Concert
Noche de Calaveras Procession and Concert
November 3, 2018
5p - 9p

Experience Day of the Dead as never before! Join us for the first Noche de Calaveras procession (parade) in El Paso.

Inspired by EPMA’s exhibition on Jose Guadalupe Posada, After Posada: Revolution, the parade and celebration will kick-off at EPMA with mariachis, dancers, marching bands, catrinas, calavera masks and large-scale marionettes designed by celebrated Mexico City artist collective, Colectivo Ultima Hora and end with a final celebratory concert.

Colectivo Ultima Hora’s work is commissioned by The State of Mexico in Mexico City’s city center, El Zocalo for Dia de Muertos celebrations every year and their larger than life marionettes are featured in the opening of the James Bond film, Spectre.

Attendees are encouraged to wear Day of the Dead costumes and calavera masks, bring candles, led lights, flowers and remembrances of loved ones.

Support for this program is provided by Wells Fargo and El Paso Electric.
