Come join the El Paso Museum of Art this Pride Month for a special staging of the play OUT OF THE CLOSET and INTO THE FIRE to commemorate the diverse experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals.

OUT OF THE CLOSET and INTO THE FIRE, directed by Jan Wolfe, is a curated series of stories about gay life from the perspective of different people. All characters are based on real stories told or sent to her by real people. They have all been edited, condensed and changed to make the stories more universal, more stage-worthy and to protect identities.

The actors inhabit these characters and talk directly to the audience and tell stories that are sad or happy, funny or heartbreaking, stories that speak of resilience or loss, fear and hope. Presented quickly without musical interludes, the effect is that of sitting in your living room with interesting guests.
